Dongfeng Citroën Versailles C5 X. 2021 to date (prod. n/a). 5-door estate. F/F, 1199 cm³ (I3 DOHC), 12·4 kWh–1598 cm³ electric–petrol, 1598 cm³ petrol (I4 DOHC). Citroën gets more adventurous again, with a new-generation C5 blending saloon, estate and SUV ideas, complete with 19-inch wheels as standard. EMP2 platform shared with Peugeot 308 (T51); the cars even have common windscreens. MacPherson struts up front, multi-link at rear. Progressive hydraulic cushions used to enhance ride comfort; hybrids get electronically controlled dampers. Very light steering on the hybrid, better balanced on other models. Not that refined, with noisy drivetrain. Exported as Citroën C5 X; 1·2 for export only.
