Took facelifted body of Beijing Jeep 2500 and variants, mated to locally made DOHC fours related to Japanese designs. Further facelift (project code B50), with boxier looks, in 2010 for 2011 sale, with interior upgrades, including better seats, and dubbed Knight S12. Still considered a tough four-wheel-drive, with Beijing buyers conscious of the heritage of the Mao-era BJ212.
