New brand from GM (an SAIC–Wuling JV) for the Chinese market, to appeal to people who have not owned a car before, and to fight budget-priced domestic models. Launched at Auto Shanghai in 2011, though the first Baojun 630s rolled off the GM production line in October 2010. In Chinese characters, 寶駿 or 宝骏. Hatchback 610 and 730 MPV from 2014, 560 SUV from 2015.
