1996 Toyota Windom 3·0G.jpg

Toyota Windom (トヨタ ウィンダム) (MCV20L/MCV21L). 1996–2001 (prod. n/a). 4-door hardtop sedan. F/F, 2496, 2994 cm³ (V6 DOHC). Predictable evolution of first-generation Windom, with the same hardtop format but adapted to the next generation of Toyota Camry (XV20). Sharper styling by Hiroshi Okamoto, mirroring the Camry. Slightly larger than predecessor. New V6s introduced. Very well equipped. Driver and passenger airbags standard on all models; side airbag option added 1997. Soft suspension, though larger V6 willing. Weight bias in the front, and not regarded as a true sport sedan. Annual changes, with most substantial ones in 1999. Final four-door hardtop from Toyota. Exported as Lexus ES.

Manufacturing location: Toyota City, Aichi, Japan; Miyawaka, Fukuoka, Japan

Marque: Toyota | Model: Toyota Windom | Predecessor: Toyota Windom (VCV10) | Successor: Toyota Windom (MCV30)
