RAV4 shifts on to TNGA-K platform, with new powertrains, and torque vectoring for AWD. Announced at New York show in 2018, with production commencing later that year. Comfortable, and very roomy, but a bland interior; engines not that quiet and, hybrid aside, not a strong performer. Very quick plug-in hybrid flagship from 2020. Sold with minor differences as the Toyota Wildlander and Suzuki ACross.
