2020 Toyota RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid.jpg

Toyota RAV4 (XA50). 2018 to date (prod. n/a). 5-door SUV. F/F, F/A, F/R/A, 1987, 2487 cm³ petrol, 2487 cm³ petrol–electric hybrid, 17·8, 18·1 kWh–2487 cm³ electric–petrol hybrid (I4 DOHC). RAV4 shifts on to TNGA-K platform, with new powertrains, and torque vectoring for AWD. Announced at New York show in 2018, with production commencing later that year. Comfortable, and very roomy, but a bland interior; engines not that quiet and, hybrid aside, not a strong performer. Very quick plug-in hybrid flagship from 2020. Sold with minor differences as the Toyota Wildlander and Suzuki ACross.

Manufacturing locations: Takaoka, Toyama, Japan; Obu, Aichi, Japan

Marque: Toyota | Model: Toyota RAV4 | Predecessor: Toyota RAV4 (XA40)
