Middle-of-the-road sedan line, succeeding the Corona, and positioned against the Nissan Bluebird Sylphy. First-generation model had a long life, by Japanese standards, of six years, while the second generation stayed even longer. Complemented by the Toyota Allion, a more sporting version with the same body.
