Toyopet Corona (RT102/RT104/RT112/RT114/TT100/TT110/T120). 1973–8 (prod. n/a). 2- and 4-door sedan, 2-door coupé, 5-door wagon. F/R, 1587, 1588 cm³ (I4 OHV), 1808, 1968, 2189 cm³ (I4 OHC). Larger, more substantial-looking Corona, aimed more at the growing US market with mid-Pacific styling, over-ornamentation and the appearance, at least in that market, of the Federal bumpers. Promotions in Japan emphasized safety. Mechanical changes, including those for emissions, throughout most of this series’ life. Fancier, formal grille in 1977. Sold on price and features, and capitalized on US demand for economical Japanese cars. Last to wear Toyopet badge; successor followed export name of Toyota Corona.

Manufacturing location: Toyota City, Japan

Marque: Toyopet | Model: Toyopet Corona | Predecessor: Toyopet Corona (T80) | Successor: Toyota Corona (T130)
