Third Tesla model after the Roadster and Model S, with distinctive ‘falcon’ rear doors that had some early reported issues. Marketed as a crossover. Very large, heavy (2·5 tonnes) and roomy, with strong safety rating (NHTSA 2017). Panoramic windscreen. Adjustable suspension height, aiding travel over difficult terrain. Very good performance, and handling acceptable given the weight.
