Nissan Cedric/YLN 801A (130). 1965–71 (prod. 218,522 approx.). 4-door sedan, 5-door wagon. F/R, 1973 cm³ (I6 OHV), 1983 cm³ petrol, 1991 cm³ diesel (I4 OHV), 1998, 2263, 2393, 2974 cm³ (I6 OHC), 3988 cm³ (V8 OHV). Stylish second-generation Cedric, with more modern angular European styling (by Pininfarina), rather than the American theme of its predecessor, and new platform. Wishbones at front, leaf springs at rear. Featured Nissan’s first OHC engine, and the first appearance of the 3N71 automatic transmission. Police models equipped with 3·0 and 4·0 units. Annual changes, but greater mid-term ones in 1968. Exported as Datsun 2000, 2300 and 2400, with licensed manufacture in Taiwan by Yue Loong.
