1967 Mercury Cyclone GT.jpg

Mercury Cyclone. 1967 (prod. n/a). 2-door coupé, 2-door convertible. F/R, 289, 390, 427 in³ (V8 OHV). The top of the intermediates for Mercury, as the emphasis on performance continued, and Cyclone abandons the Comet model name. No sixes available, 289 was the starter, rising up to two 427s as options with 410 and 425 hp. New grille and taillights, and bucket seats. GT came with Marauder four-barrel 390 V8 as standard, dual exhausts, front disc brakes, 3·25:1 axle ratio, stiffer front and rear springs, heavy-duty front and rear shocks, and larger-diameter stabilizer bar.

Manufacturing location: USA

Marque: Mercury | Model: Mercury Cyclone | Predecessor: Mercury Comet (1966–7) | Successor: Mercury Cyclone (1968–9)
