MG 1100/MG 1275 (ADO16). 1962–7 (prod. 116,827 1100 incl. Mk II, 26,240 1300 incl. Mk II). 2- and 4-door saloon. F/F, 1098, 1275 cm³ (I4 OHV). Sporting version of BMC ADO16 saloons, with twin-carb 1100 delivering 55 bhp. A 58 bhp 1275 was introduced in June 1967. Original 1100 shape with the upright rear lights offered in the UK till October 1967. Spanish assembly at Authi from 1967, using CKD kits, with 1275 marketed as 1300.
