Lancia Ypsilon.jpg

Lancia Ypsilon (Tipo 843). 2003–11 (prod. n/a). 3-door saloon. F/F, 1242 cm³ (I4 OHC), 1242, 1368 cm³ petrol, 1248 cm³ diesel (I4 DOHC). Supermini designed at Centro Stile, shown at Genève 2003, and related to Fiat Punto (188). Larger than predecessor, especially in height (nearly 10 cm), making it one of the tallest cars in its class. Plenty of customization options, particularly in paint colours. The 1·2 and diesel and the power steering not the most reliable. Comfortable cars, rather than sporting. Facelift in 2006, as Lancia celebrated its centenary, and revisions saw the car get slightly longer, thanks to larger bumpers. Blue & Me infotainment system introduced with revisions.

Manufacturing locations: Termini Imerese, Sicilia, Italy; Melfi, Basilicata, Italy

Marque: Lancia | Model: Lancia Ypsilon | Predecessor: Lancia Y | Successor: Lancia Ypsilon (846)
