Kia Retona. 1998–2003 (prod. n/a). 3-door UV, 3-door convertible UV. F/A, 1998 cm³ petrol, 1998 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC). Civilian version of the K-131 military vehicle developed by Asia Motors. Asia Motors also developed the Retona (shortened from return to nature), but this time it appeared with Kia badges for civilian sales. Kia Sportage (NB-7) platform, with two engines also common to that model. Facelift in 2000, whereupon the petrol engine was withdrawn. Deleted 2003 as the Retona could not meet emissions’ regulations.

Manufacturing location: Korea

Marque: Kia | Predecessor: Asia Rocsta
