2013 Kia Rio SX.jpg

Kia Pride (UB). 2011–16 (prod. n/a). 3-, 4- and 5-door sedan. F/F, 1120 cm³ diesel (I3 DOHC), 1248, 1396, 1591 cm³ petrol, 1396 cm³ diesel (I4 DOHC). Attractive, sporty-looking replacement for JB, with styling overseen by Peter Schreyer. Shared platform with the Kia K2 (QB) and Hyundai Accent (RB). Three-cylinder model generating only 85 g/km of carbon dioxide, the lowest of any production car at launch. Steering on the light side, with adequate handling. Better quality all round, and far more comfortable, if not quite at the top of the class. Quite heavy, blunting performance, and 1·4 coarse when pushed. Exported as Kia Rio to some markets.

Manufacturing location: Korea

Marque: Kia | Model: Kia Pride | Predecessor: Kia Pride (JB) | Successor: Kia Pride (YB)
