1973 Jaguar E-type V12.jpg

Jaguar E-type V12 (XJ25). 1971–4 (prod. 7,990 approx. roadster, 7,300 approx. coupé). 3-door coupé, 2-door roadster. F/R, 5343 cm³ (V12 OHC). Last hurrah for famed E-type, starting to creep into the luxury market with a bigger chrome grille and chrome hubcaps. V12 helped restore power Stateside, where detoxing had hit horsepower. Power steering standard. Very thirsty. All Es now on the longer wheelbase with the 2+2, the old two-seater consigned to history. Last 50 in black.

Manufacturing location: Coventry, West Midlands, England

Marque: Jaguar | Model: Jaguar E-type | Predecessor: Jaguar E-type Series II | Successors: Jaguar XJ-S (1975–81), Jaguar F-type
