More resolved styling, allowing it to be sold in more markets, including Australia and South Africa (where it is called the Ballade). Well equipped, though the engines are not class-leading, with some harshness. Average in the handling department; comfortable ride. Largest 1·8 for China. Very good packaging, as with Fit. Facelift in 2011. Production to 2013 in most countries; Chinese production continued to 2014. Ballade in South Africa. Continued in Pakistan into 2020, then replaced by the sixth generation.
