Honda Accord. 1981–5 (prod. n/a). 3- and 4-door sedan. F/F, 1602, 1751, 1829 cm³ (I4 OHC). First new-generation Accord, introduced September 1981 in Japan. Bigger, plusher, more of the good qualities of original; build-quality issues gone. In-car navigation system 1981, possibly a world’s first. Mid-term facelift 1983 with slant European-style nose for hatchback, but an evolutionary one for sedan. Fuel injection May 1984. First Accord built in US from 1984. Honda Vigor (SZ) also launched these years as upscale version.

Manufacturing locations: Sayama, Japan; Marysville, Ohio, United States

Marque: Honda | Model: Honda Accord | Predecessor: Honda Accord (1976–81) | Successor: Honda Accord (1985–9)
