Geely Meiri (MR6370/JL7150). 2000–9 (prod. 13,000 approx. between 2006 and 2007). 5-door sedan. F/F, 993, 1046 cm³ (I3 OHC), 1342, 1498 cm³ (I4 DOHC). Subcompact from Geely, built at a new factory from 2002. Originally looking close to the Daihatsu Charade (G100), but with more slanted rear end. Reskin in 2005 left the doors unchanged, but the car now bore a rear end apeing the Daewoo Kalos with a six-light body to match. Latinization spelt variously as Meiri, Meirie, and Merrie.
