Ford Country Squire. 1965–8 (prod. n/a). 5-door wagon. F/R, 240 in³ (I6 OHV), 289, 302, 352, 390, 427, 428 in³ (V8 OHV). The most luxurious Ford wagon, with the LTD the parallel in the sedan range. Identified by the fake wood trim on the sides. Magic Doorgate, which allowed the rear to open like a door or a fold-down tailgate, from 1966. Ranked above the Country Sedan, which was the plainer alternative. From 1968, LTD badges appeared on the Country Squire, though Ford marketing continued to insist it was a separate model.
