Fiat Regata/Fiat Regatta. 1983–94 (prod. n/a). 4-door saloon, 5-door estate. F/F, 1302, 1499, 1581 cm³ petrol, 1697, 1714, 1929 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC), 1585, 1995 cm³ (I4 DOHC). Undistinguished booted Ritmo, but with more conventional styling; estate, called Weekend, following in 1984, with fold-down rear bumper to help with loading. Replaced 131 as Fiat’s mid-range entrant and far less sporting, in the Eurobox mould like the Renault 9. Regata in most, but Regatta in Argentina (commencing 1985) and selected markets. European mid-term facelift 1986. Italian production ceased 1990.
