Dongfeng Aeolus AX7. 2018 to date (prod. n/a). 5-door SUV. F/F, 1396, 1497, 1598 cm³ (I4 DOHC). Same formula as before, with Nissan Dualis (J10) underpinnings, but updated styling. Improved interior materials, with more soft-touch plastics. Good power delivery from the turbo petrol units. Upscale AX7 Pro introduced 2020 for 2021 model year. Aeolus sub-brand formalized with unique logo during the run, and appeared first on Pro model, with a different, longer nose, though Aeolus script appeared on the AX7’s tailgate from 2018. Still saddled with five-speed manual in some cases; six-speed automatic was, however, the norm.
