Dodge Magnum. 1978–81 (prod. n/a). 2-door coupé. F/R, 5210 cm³ (V8 OHV). Ultimate incarnation of the A-body Dodge Dart (1970–6), filled with luxury equipment, including an electric sunroof—a Brazilian first—and an AM–FM cassette–radio with two rear speakers. Facelift designed by local team. Same V8 as other Brazilian Darts, tuned to run on alcohol. Short-lived as Chrysler sold its Brazilian operations to Volkswagen, which took majority control in 1979, and sales for the A-body cars dwindled into the hundreds per annum.
