Dodge Charger (LD). 2011–23 (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan. F/R, F/A, 3604 cm³ (V6 DOHC), 5654, 6162, 6417 cm³ (V8 OHV). Revised sheetmetal for 2011 Charger, looking longer and more lithe. Pentastar V6 replaced earlier OHC units, with eight-speed transmission available for it from 2012, aiding fuel economy. Retuned suspension, with good ride and handling, updated electronics inside with eight-inch touch-screen. Rear headroom remained tight with the fastback styling. AWD available with this generation. New Hemi 6·4 produced 470 hp; 485 hp from 2015, when Chargers were facelifted. Top model, the SRT Hellcat (from 2015), had 6·2 V8 developing 707 hp and hitting a record (for a four-door sedan) 204 mph with the aid of a supercharger.
