Opel Rekord C lookalike launched at 1968 São Paulo Auto Show with American engines, including Chevrolet 153 and 230 in³ and Pontiac Iron Duke four. First Chevrolet passenger car built in Brazil. Caravan denoted station wagon; SS, Diplomata and Comodoro among the variants. Related to Mexican-market Opel Olímpico and Opel Fiera.
