Compact SUV from Zotye’s Domy sub-brand, selling with low price and more premium models featured wireless charging and other tech for young, urban buyers. Could seat seven at a pinch (though with virtually no space between third-row passengers and the rear window), an advantage over rivals. Despite Zotye’s patchy record of late (viz. its clones), X5 scored very highly in C-NCAP safety tests. Platinum Edition launched 2016 loaded with standard equipment. Revisions in 2017, notably in interior.
