Roewe D5 X DMH. 2024 to date (prod. n/a). 5-door SUV. F/F, 1496 cm³–21·4 kWh petrol–electric hybrid (I4 DOHC). Handsome crossover, the hybrid version of the third-generation Roewe RX5 (2022–). Smoother grille treatment, but otherwise virtually identical externally to RX5. A strong all-rounder among hybrids, with a combined range of 1,621 km (135 km on electric-only) based on one publication’s test. Very rigid body structure with class-leading passive and active safety features. Better than BYD’s Song Plus DM-i in power and range. MacPherson struts at front, four-link independent rear suspension, with a good balance between ride and handling. Refined, with wind and tyre noise at a minimum, comparable to a full EV.
