F/F, 1461 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC), 1598, 1997, 1998 cm³ petrol, 1995 cm³ diesel (I4 DOHC), 2993 cm³ diesel, 3498 cm³ petrol (V6 DOHC). Unusually styled Laguna, débuting the grille-less look the company would adopt for its lesser models. Long front end, and unusual, but frugal, 1·5-litre diesel at lower end of range. Excellent interior and refinement, but only better than average handling and poor ride. Stylish coupé from 2008, shown first at Cannes Film Festival. V6 engines in coupé first; 3·5 (of Nissan origin) exclusive to coupé. A relatively poor seller compared to the original two generations.
