Malaysia’s first national car, based on the C-segment Mitsubishi Lancer. Sold cheaply outside Malaysia, and helped by the country’s protected market for decades. First generation lasted till 2008, before a second generation took over. A rebodied version of this appeared in 2016 as Proton’s entry-level, A-segment car.
