From AutocadePontiac Grand Am (N-body). 1985–91 (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan, 2-door coupé. F/F, 1998 cm³ (I4 OHC), 2261 cm³ (I4 DOHC), 2474 cm³ (I4 OHV), 2966 cm³ (V6 OHV). Grand Am name revived for a compact front-wheel-drive range related to the Buick Somerset and Skylark, and Oldsmobile Calais. Similar upright rear window. Two-doors initially, four-door sedan added 1986. Pontiac 2·5 or Buick 3·0 at launch; turbocharged two-litre from Sunbird added in 1987. Quad Four 2·3 from 1988, and high-output 180 hp version mid-year, but V6 deleted. Mid-term facelift in 1989.
