From AutocadePontiac GTO. 2004–6 (prod. 40,808). 2-door coupé. F/R, 5665, 5970 cm³ (V8 DOHC). Facelifted Holden Monaro (VX) with relocated fuel tank, wearing the fabled GTO moniker. Styling considered too conservative by Americans used to the outrageousness of the Judge, even if car itself followed the GTO formula of being a sporting, big-bore version of a humble GM sedan—and certainly no worse than the Ventura-based edition of 1974. Pricey, at over $30,000, but quick. Six-litre for 2005 and 2006 model years, rated at 400 hp and 400 lb ft of torque. Probably collectible in years to come, but still getting over stigma of looking too much like a Cadillac Catera Coupé in the eyes of Americans right now.
