With FAW’s relative lack of clarity about whether its divisions are marques or not, Oleys were often seen in non-Chinese media as ‘FAW Oley’, though in China itself, they were usually listed under their own marque, despite wearing the familiar FAW badges. Not a very successful line, though FAW opted to export it more widely along with Besturn, ahead of longer-running marques such as Tianjin.
