Nissan rediscovers good design, with airy, modern and distinctive mini-MPV, with sliding rear doors. Shared C platform with Renault Mégane II, but suspension fettled by Nissan, with Nissan-designed shock absorbers. Boxy shape meant good interior room despite small exterior dimensions, though headroom could be limited by its panoramic roof storage. B30 code for front drive, NB30 for four-wheel drive. Mid-term changes 2007. Equipment upgrades through run. By 2011, the model line-up had been reduced severely as its successor came on stream; Lafesta renamed Lafesta Joy to differentiate it from the newer model.
