2013 Nissan Dualis.jpg

Nissan Dualis/Nissan Qashqai (J10). 2007–13 (prod. 1,000,000 approx. to March 2011). 5-door saloon, 5-door LWB estate. F/F, F/A, 1461 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC), 1598, 1997 cm³ petrol, 1995 cm³ diesel (I4 DOHC). Following trends, a crossover SUV on new P32L platform, designed and engineered in UK. Replaced Nissan’s Primera range in Europe as the company focused on niche vehicles. Sold as Qashqai in Europe after an Iranian tribe; original Japanese name used in home market. Most models front-wheel drive. Reasonable handling but not that much more practical alongside regular hatchbacks—really just a tall car, rather than anything with off-road credentials. Platform underpinned Renault Mégane III and later recycled in China for the Dongfeng Fengshen AX7 and Venucia T70.

Manufacturing locations: Kanda, Fukuoka, Japan; Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, England

Marque: Nissan | Model: Nissan Dualis | Predecessor: Nissan Primera (P12) | Successors: Nissan Qashqai (J11), Nissan X-trail (T32)
