Mitsubishi Mirage (A05A/A03A/A00/LA). 2012 to date (prod. n/a). 5-door sedan. F/F, 999, 1192 cm³ (I3 DOHC). Mitsubishi’s entry for developing markets: a basic, frugal, small hatchback. Larger engine for the Thai market, smaller one for Japan. Mitsubishi targeted 70 mpg with the three-cylinder petrol engine, coupled with stop–start and CVT. Exported as Space Star to some markets. Facelift, with equipment upgrade, in 2016. Second facelift in 2019, again with an equipment upgrade to bring the Mirage into the 2020s. Exported to Japan till 2023; to the US till 2024.
