Mitsubishi Chariot/Hyundai Santamo (N30/E-N33W/N40/UF/MSE1). 1991–2002 (prod. n/a). 5-door MPV. F/F, F/A, 1834, 1997, 2351 cm³ petrol, 1998 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC), 1997 cm³ (I4 DOHC). Second-generation Chariot was complemented by a short-wheelbase Mitsubishi RVR (N10). Mid-term changes 1994. Resort Runner GT turbo from 1995, developing 230 PS when specified with a manual transmission. Like RVR, available with additional Sports Gear accessories, including an external spare tyre. Practical, though other than Turbo, not the strongest performers, not even the 2·4. Made by Hyundai as the Santamo (an acronym for safety and talented motor) from 1996 to 2002, alongside platform-mate Kia Carstar. Japanese production ceased 1997. Exported as Mitsubishi Expo to the US, Mitsubishi Space Wagon to Europe.
