Fourth-generation Mini, the third under BMW, expanded in length, width and height. Better handling and quality. Larger grille up front, more noticeable wedge, shallower glasshouse. Greater interior changes with analogue speedometer now on steering column, electric window switches on doors. Revised suspension with spring strut axle at front and a multi-link at rear. Head-up display débuts; technologies included adaptive cruise control and a collision and pedestrian warning system. Parking assist available. Five-door hatchback (F55) from 2014; convertible (F57) from 2016. Electric from 2019.
