With the Town Car’s demise on the horizon, Lincoln cuts a new market niche with a large station wagon–MPV on the Ford Flex platform. Larger 3·7 engine in the base model, with turbocharged 3·5 costing a premium; the latter considered the far better unit. New transmission with paddle-shift gearchange. Good handler considering its bulk. Third row less accommodating, though interior luxurious. Ecoboost four from 2013; 3·7 dropped for final year.
