Hyundai Veracruz. 2006–12 (prod. n/a). 5-door SUV. F/F, F/A, 2959 cm³ diesel, 3778 cm³ petrol (V6 DOHC). Large SUV, replacing awkward Terracan, intended as Hyundai’s answer to Toyota Harrier, Mercedes-Benz ML (W163) and other luxury rivals. Sold as ix55 in some countries. Well equipped, refined and well built with smooth engine, though not the class leader. Low-end torque lacking and performance not that good with automatic transmission. Not that successful, and replaced by LWB version of Santa Fe.
