From AutocadeHonda Accord. 1998–2003 (prod. n/a). 4- and 5-door saloon. F/F, 1590, 1850, 1997 cm³ petrol, 1994 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC), 2157 cm³ (I4 DOHC). German-designed, British-built (at Swindon) European-market Accord was supposed to be the perfect car to for Honda to take on premium mid-sizers such as Audi A4. As a gamble, it didn’t really work, with this generation forgotten apart from Type R model. Same suspension as other Accords of this generation. Conventional, conservative sedan and hatchback (coupé was US model, imported), wider than Japanese model and narrower than American one; and shorter than both. Rover turbodiesel option.
