From AutocadeFord Ka/Ford Figo/Ford Aspire (B562). 2014–21 (prod. n/a). 4- and 5-door saloon. F/F, 999, 1194 cm³ (I3 DOHC), 1196, 1499 cm³ petrol, 1498 cm³ diesel (I4 DOHC). Ford do Brasil gets the third-generation Ka first, with five-door hatchback and four-door Ka Plus saloon. Less distinctive than predecessor, looking like many sub-B-segment models. Engines tuned to run on petrol or ethanol. Larger than immediate rivals Volkswagen Up and Fiat Uno (327), and meant to challenge established Brazilian small cars such as the Chevrolet Onix (2012–19), Volkswagen Gol G5 and Renault Sandero. Quite well equipped for the class, with Sync media system absent only from the base model at launch; stability and traction control for more expensive Kas. Dock on top of dashboard to recharge phones, and for those using navigation on their phones. Simpler interior than outgoing Fiesta Rocam, but good driving position and layout. Quiet for the class, but three-cylinder unit underpowered on hilly roads. Good dynamics, with a nice compromise between ride and handling. Five-door became the second-generation Figo in India in 2015; four-door dubbed Ford Aspire, reviving old nameplate. Three-star safety rating recorded by Euro NCAP in 2017. Dragon 1·2 triple added with 2018 facelift in India. Brazilian production to 2021. Indian production also ended as Ford withdrew from the market altogether.
