Daihatsu Charade (G200/G201/G202/G203/G204/G213). 1993–2000 (prod. n/a). 3-, 4- and 5-door sedan. F/F, F/A, 993 cm³ (I3 OHC), 1296, 1499, 1590 cm³ (I4 OHC). Slightly fancier and pricier thanks to the bubble economy during development. High-quality interior for the same reason. One-litre axed for home market but retained for export. De Tomaso featured 1·6. Charade Social four-door reappeared 1994, and would prove to be the last three-box sedan in this segment for Daihatsu. Mid-term facelift in 1995, except for de Tomaso. De Tomaso model finished production in 1998. Its successor, the Storia, ran alongside Charade in its final two years.
