Van Doorne’s Automobiel Fabrieken NV gets into car manufacture, with a compact two-door saloon, after a positive response at the Amsterdam motor show the year before. Conventional design, but for the continuously variable transmission, the Variomatic, with simple forward and reverse modes. Eventually supplanted by the Daffodil and its downmarket 750 variant.
