Equinox Plus in China, with a plug-in hybrid powertrain; fourth-generation Equinox in North America, beginning with the 2025 model year, but only with petrol at launch. Tougher appearance, and slightly larger than before, but similar formula. Improved safety, but 180 PS from the turbo petrol faced strong competition from rivals with similar set-ups; plug-in hybrid more potent with 190 PS from the electric motor. CVT standard, but eight-speed automatic the better gearbox.
