From AutocadeCadillac Seville (K-body). 1980–5 (prod. 198,155). 4-door sedan. F/F, 4129 cm³ (V6 OHV), 4087, 6036 cm³ petrol, 5737 cm³ diesel (V8 OHV). The 1980s saw Seville move to a larger platform and feature a bustle-back, later copied by Imperial (1981–3) and Lincoln Continental (1982–7). Not that spacious despite greater wheelbase, and trunk volume obviously hampered by styling. Loaded with luxuries, including memory seats and trip computer, though variable displacement V8-6-4 six-litre engine proved unreliable, and Oldsmobile diesel was abysmal. Front-drive and independent suspension at least made for a respectable handling car, while electronic self-levelling rear suspension aided ride.
