The culmination of the original DB line, succeeding the DB6, in the late 1960s. Planned for a new V8, but that did not appear till 1970. Name revived in 2007 as a development of the DB9, and as a successor to the V12 Vanquish. The DBS Superleggera appeared in 2018 to succeed the second-generation Vanquish.
