Part of Alfa Romeo’s design renaissance of the 1990s, based on a proposal by Enrico Fumia at Pininfarina, reworked at Centro Stile under Walter de’Silva, on the Tipo 2 platform. New multi-link rear suspension; front suspension and drivetrain from Alfa Romeo 155, making it particularly able, but quality niggles persisted. Sister car to the Alfa Romeo GTV (916). Revisions in 1998 and 2003.
