Zotye Z100. 2012 to date (prod. n/a). 5-door sedan. F/F, 998 cm³ (I3 DOHC), 17·76 kWh electric. A sad move from Zotye: once a manufacturer of licensed cars from Fiat, it cloned the Maruti Suzuki A-star right down to the interior and three-spoke steering wheel to produce one of China’s cheapest cars. (It helps when one omits the effort of R&D.) Even the Chinese media could see the similarities. Wheelbase identical to the A-star, though overall length and width up. Electric version from 2016; petrol models to 2018, with a handful sold in 2019.
