Zhonghua Junjie (中華 駿捷/中华 骏捷/BS4). 2007–13 (prod. 30,046 sold for 2010 only). 4-door sedan, 5-door wagon. F/F, 1584 cm³ (I4 OHC), 1793, 1834, 1991, 2350 cm³ (I4 DOHC). Smaller Zhonghua, based on M1 platform but shortened bodyshell (same wheelbase, but 4,648 versus 4,880 mm in length). Styled under Lowie Veermesch at Pininfarina. Economical Mitsubishi-supplied 1·6 and 1·8, complemented by turbocharged 1793 cm³ unit of Zhonghua’s own design at top. Very roomy wagon (dubbed Brilliance M2 for export) complemented range from 2009, with larger engines (2·0 and 2·4 offered, with 2·4 deleted after 2009). Zhonghua emphasized the car’s strength, perhaps trying to distance itself from the disappointing crash test results of larger M1.

Manufacturing location: Shenyang, Liaoning, China

Marque: Zhonghua | Model: Zhonghua Junjie
