Mid-sized sedan styled by Pininfarina, with Mitsubishi engine shared with contemporary Mitsubishi Galant Fortis. Slotting between FRV and BS4 models, and sharing a platform with the former. Considered better quality than the competition from Geely and Chery, targeting younger buyers. Likely to replace BS2 series but ran alongside it initially.
