Wolseley 24/80. 1962–4 (prod. under 30,000 incl. Mk II and Austin Freeway). 4-door sedan. F/R, 2433 cm³ (I6 OHV). Upmarket version of Australian-developed Austin Freeway Mk I, with body based on Wolseley 15/60 and regarded as the country’s first domestically created luxury six-cylinder car. Longer wheelbase by 25 mm than 15/60, at 2,545 mm, the same as the 16/60. More wood and leather, appealing to an older buyer. By 1964, it outsold the Freeway consistently.
